Mark Prudhoe has returned to Sunderland as the club's new Academy goalkeeper coach.
Prudhoe joined the club recently after a spell with Hull City and replaces Alan Fettis, who has joined Manchester United.
Prudhoe will work with all the club's young goalkeepers below professional level, including current under-18 stoppers Lewis King and Jordan Pickford.
The Washington-born keeper began his career with Sunderland, making seven appearances before moving on to Birmingham in September 1984 for a fee of £22,000.
