Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is wanted at AS Roma.
The Sunday Mirror says Roma's creditors UniCredit, the Italian banking group, are in advanced talks with an Italian/American businessman Thomas Richard Di Benedetto.
In documentation outlining his bid, Benedetto has claimed if his bid is successful he will immediately make moves to recruit Ancelotti and England team manager Baldini.
Both men are unsettled in their current employment and have historical links with Roma.
