Chinese tycoon Kenny Huang has previous in the sports business world.
As he waits on Liverpool's response to takeover the club's debts, Huang also maintains stakes in other sports.
Huang bought 15 per cent of US basketball team Cleveland Cavaliers last year and is also involved in Chinese baseball.
