Atalanta will return to Serie A with coach Stefano Colantuono in charge.

Sacked Juventus boss Gigi del Neri had been linked with the job last week.

"Colantuono will be our Coach next season in Serie A," declared director of sport Gabriele Zamagna.

"There are absolutely no doubts about that. Colantuono deserved this confirmation due to what he has proved to everyone this term.

"Along with the players, he took Atalanta straight back into Serie A, so it is only right to continue with him."
