Prince William has threatened to take Twitter away from Chelsea star Ashley Cole! The Daily Mail says the Duke of Cambridge threatened to use his royal prerogative to silence Cole when the pair met on Tuesday.

"If you keep being a naughty boy, we'll take away your Twitter account," he joked as he shook Cole's hand, making the England defender laugh.

The Duke met the England squad as he opened St George's Park - the £100million national football centre - in his role as president of the FA, who Cole branded "a bunch of t****" in a tweet last week.

The Chelsea left back, who has 98 caps, will not be suspended from England duty after making a personal apology to FA chairman David Bernstein but is unlikely to be made captain to honour his 100th appearance.
