Primus wants to remain with Portsmouth after retirement

Linvoy Primus hopes to remain with Portsmouth if he hangs up the boots at the end of the season.

"I've been here now for nine seasons," Primus told The News. "I'd love to have a testimonial. I'd love to have the chance to say thank you.

"But beyond that, I would love to be part of the club still. I want to be part of things here when the football finishes.

"In what role? I'm not quite sure, but I love the fact I can meet people and have an impact on people's lives with a handshake or an autograph.

"I want be part of the community side of things, part of the coaching, working with the players and in the ticket office. Everything.

"I don't exactly know, but I want to help in some capacity.

"That's what I would like. I wouldn't like to think that once I stopped playing I had no further connection with the club."
