Linvoy Primus has signed a new one-year contract at Portsmouth.

The former Reading man told the club's website: "I was at the training ground last week when (chief executive) Peter Storrie pulled me to one side and said that the club wanted to offer me another year.

"I'm so happy. I'm so pleased to have been given another year, so my first words are 'thank you'."

Chief executive Peter Storrie added: "Linvoy has been a fantastic servant to this club both on and off the field. He deserves the opportunity to get fit and have a go next season."
