Genoa president Enrico Preziosi admits they need to sell players to balance the books.

Preziosi is eager to reassure fans that goalkeeper Mattia Perin and striker Alberto Gilardino won't be the ones making a January exit.

"Perin has qualities that are beyond the norm and will be the Italy goalkeeper for the next 15 years. I don't think he wants to leave Genoa next season. Meanwhile, Gilardino is a great example of professionalism and hard work."
