Preston North End boss Alan Irvine is backing Everton to beat Chelsea in this week's FA Cup final.

Irvine, who left Everton as David Moyes' No2 to take charge of Preston, said: "He has certainly done a very good job and deserves all the accolades he gets because what he has done on limited resources in Premiership terms has been fantastic.

"I am absolutely delighted for him and I desperately hope he gets a trophy because he deserves that after all that he has done over the years."
