Preston North End midfielder Neil Kilkenny has been successful in his appeal against a red card received this week.
The Australian was sent off for violent conduct when he made contact with Bradford City's Kyle Bennett in the 25th minute of Tuesday's 0-0, which also saw the Bantams debutant shown a red card.
Preston felt it was an extremely harsh decision so appealed the three-match ban issued to Kilkenny which has now been overturned by a Football Association panel.
"Preston submitted an appeal to the FA on Wednesday, which contained video evidence and a written submission to the effect that Kilkenny did not raise his hand to the head/neck area of Kyle Bennett who was also shown a straight red card," read a Lilywhites statement.
"And after a panel meeting in London, the FA have upheld North End's appeal."
