Preston North End have signed Manchester United midfielder Matt James on a one-year loan.
James, who featured 18 times for North End in the latter half of last season, has been brought in from United to strengthen Darren Ferguson's midfield as the Preston manager looks to bolster his squad.
James becomes the second signing of the summer at Deepdale after Scunthorpe striker Paul Hayes arrived on a free transfer last month.
