Preston keeper Pickford again shows why Spurs, Aston Villa, Man Utd keen

Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was again outstanding for Preston North End in their 1-1 draw with Wolves.

Daniel Johnson's 10th-minute goal looked like it was enough to earn Preston a second Championship win of the season, only for Kevin McDonald's last-gasp equaliser to spare Wolves' blushes.

Pickford, scouted by Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United, produced a string of super saves before finally succumbing to McDonald's effort.

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett concedes Pickford was the difference on the day.

"It was a great goal from Kevin McDonald, a great strike but we had other chances which all came late on and by the end we were disappointed with a point," said Jackett.

"Kevin McDonald is a big player for us and we feel he can add goals to his game and he's started to do that this season. Quite often over the last couple of seasons, when he's played well the club have played well."
