Preston North End are chasing Tottenham goalkeeper Ben Alnwick.

The Mirror says Darren Ferguson is keen to take the former Sunderland prospect and may move in if he sells first choice Andy Lonergan, who is on several wanted lists.

Alnwick is number three at Spurs since the arrival of Stipe Pletikosa and he will be allowed to go out by Harry Redknapp.

Ferguson may have to sell Lonergan to raise funds and bring in some cash.
