Preston chairman Derek Shaw will do "everything in his power" to bring new players to the club in January. Alan Irvine's small squad has struggled for form in recent weeks and taken just two points from their last three Coca-Cola Championship matches.
Shaw has refused to rule out the prospect of adding fresh blood when the transfer window swings open.
He told the Lancashire Evening Post: "It's no different whether it is January or July, I back Alan 52 weeks of the year.
"I will always back the manager in any way I can.
"I'm not going to sit here now in the middle of November and say we are going to make new signings but I'll be doing everything in my power to help him."
