Preston North End boss Darren Ferguson hopes to keep hold of his Stoke City pair.

Ferguson is hopeful of extending the loan spells of Stoke duo Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh.

He said: "I had a conversation with Tony Pulis and he's gone away to think about it.

"There was no definite 'yes' and no definite 'no'. Michael and Danny are really good, experienced professionals and have brought some quality into the squad.''
