PREMIERSHIP WRAP: Chelsea march on, Arsenal crash at Sunderland, Birmingham win whilst Villa and Hull draw.

Chelsea easily disposed of Wolves whilst Sunderland saw off Arsenal at the Stadium of light and the bottom of the table clash ended in a six goal thriller between Hull and West Ham. The lunchtime kick-off between Liverpool and Manchester City ended all square at 2-2 leaving them further adrift of Chelsea who easily crushed Wolves 4-0 at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues cruised into a three goal lead inside 22 minutes courtesy of Florent Malouda and Michael Essien brace.

The hosts eased off in the second half as Wolves concentrated on damage limitation but still managed a fourth through Joe Cole.

Arsenal's much vaunted attack was blunted at Sunderland as their strikers failed to register allowing Darren Bent's second half effort to seal the points for the Black Cats in a game of few chances.

Hull City and West Ham are still at the wrong end of the table after sharing the points in a thrilling 3-3 draw at the KC Stadium.

The Hammers raced into a two goal lead within 11 minutes.

Guillermo Franco nodded in after just five minutes and Jack Collison header made it 2-0 six minutes later.

The Tigers were back in it just before the half hour as Jimmy Bullard's free kick took a couple of wicked deflections before finding the back of the net.

Kamil Zayatte levelled matters on 44 minutes and a minute later Hull's fightback was complete as Bullard scored from the spot after Julien Faubert was controversially adjudged to have fouled Craig Fagan.

The home side were reduced to ten men when Bernard Mendy was shown a straight red card for bringing down Scott Parker and West Ham capitalised in the 69th minute with Manuel Da Costa.

Burnley were all set to continue their fine home form at Turf Moor with another three points until Emile Heskey's late leveller earned Aston Villa a point.

Steven Caldwell had headed the Clarets into an early lead as Villa struggled to get into the game and this looked like being decisive until the 86th minute equaliser.

Birmingham overcame Fulham 1-0 at St Andrews.

Lee Bowyer netted the crucial goal for the Blues after 16 minutes.
