Blackburn, West Ham and Birmingham are all fighting for the signature of Argentine ace Pablo Mouche. The Boca Juniors player, who is good friends with Carlos Tevez, is understood to be keen on a move to England.
Birmingham were initially in pole position for the 23 year old until rivals became aware of the deal.
There is still strong interest from Spain, Germany and Italy, but his British representative Barry McIntosh is confident a deal will be done.
"Pablo wants to come to England, that is the main point at the moment," McIntosh told skysports.com.
"There is interest from all over Europe, which is not surprising as he is a special talent."
