London duo Tottenham and West Ham plus Hull City are rumoured to be contesting a pre-season competition in Beijing this year. Reuters, quoting the Xinhua news agency, said the three clubs will play Chinese Super League team Beijing Guoan at the city's Worker's Stadium.
However Reuters said that late last week, the Premier League had told it the teams that would take part would not yet be announced.
Chelsea were reported to have been invited, but decided to tour North American instead. Manchester United will play in China this summer, but are not playing in Beijing or Shanghai.
