Manchester City and Tottenham were both unsuccessful in trying to lure Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski into the Premier League last summer, reports the club's general manager Uli Hoeness. The Germany international recently agreed a transfer to former club Cologne, whom he will join in the summer for around 10 million euros.
"Ten million euros is not his true market value. He is worth a lot more," he said.
"Six months ago we had offers of over 20 million euros from Manchester City and Tottenham.
"I think that he is currently worth between 15 and 18 million."
