Boca Juniors and an unnamed English club are chasing Argentinian striker Mauro Zarate.
Four goals, coupled with flashes of brilliance, helped him catch the eye and a summer battle for his signature has come as no surprise.
A return to his homeland with Boca is likely to appeal, with the Argentinian giants seeing him as the ideal replacement for the Lazio-bound Rodrigo Palacio.
However, Zarate's brother, who also doubles as one of his agents, revealed that Boca are yet to make a move and are in danger of being surpassed by a Premier League side.
"I have not received a call from any Boca official yet," Sergio Zarate told Clarin.
"We have a possible offer from an English club and we want to sort things out this week."
