Wigan Athletic just do not know the meaning of giving up as they again look to avoid relegation late in the season.
Roberto Martinez's Latics twice trailed West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday before recording a 3-2 victory to keep themselves alive in the survival battle.
Shane Long opened the scoring for Albion on the half-hour mark before Arouna Kone levelled six minutes prior to the break for the visitors who then went behind again when Gareth McAuley made it 2-1 in the 50th minute.
However, the plucky Wigan side managed to fight back through goals from James McArthur (58th minute) and Callum McManaman (80th) to take them to 35 points from 35 matches.
Wigan are three points behind Newcastle United, Norwich City and Sunderland but have one game in hand which takes place against Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Of those teams, Newcastle held West Ham United to a 0-0 draw at Upton Park, Norwich City were beaten 2-1 by Aston Villa courtesy of a Gabby Agbonlahor brace and Sunderland came from behind to draw 1-1 with Stoke City on Monday night despite losing Craig Gardner to a red card in the first half.
At the other end of the table, London trio Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham continue to jockey for the two remaining positions in the top four.
The third-placed Blues appear to have pole position in that mini group after they edged champions Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday whilst fourth-placed Arsenal gave themselves every hope against QPR by scoring an early goal to eventually win 1-0.
Chelsea are a point ahead of the Gunners with a game in hand whilst Spurs, who beat Southampton 1-0 at home, are two points in arrears of their North London rivals ahead of the catch-up game against the Blues on Wednesday.
Elsewhere in the Premier League, relegated Reading experienced some late-season joy with a Hal Robson-Kanu double leading them to a 4-2 triumph at Fulham who were served by two goals from Bryan Ruiz.
Swansea and Manchester City played out a 0-0 draw in South Wales and Liverpool and Everton upheld a similar scoreline in the Merseyside derby at Anfield keeping the Toffees five points ahead of their arch rivals.
Ahead this week are three fixtures which will bring all sides to 36 matches played as City host Albion, Swansea head to Wigan (both Tuesday) and Chelsea take on Spurs at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
