PREMIER LEAGUE WRAP: MAN CITY CLINCH TITLE, BOLTON ARE RELEGATED WHILST ARSENAL SECURE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SPOT

Manchester City score late against ten-man QPR to win the title on goal difference from Manchester United who also won at Sunderland. Manchester City scored twice in four minutes of added time to win 3-2 at home to QPR who had Joey Barton dismissed in the second-half, and secured a first top flight title for 44 years.

City went ahead just before the break, but QPR hit back with two goals after the break leaving the host's to win the Premiership title in the most dramatic fashion.

For QPR there was the consolation of remaining in the top flight after Bolton could only draw with Stoke.

Title rivals Manchester United won 1-0 at Sunderland but it was to no avail and they surrendered their title to their neighbours across the City.

Arsenal finished third after coming from behind twice at West Bromwich Albion for a 3-2 success and Champions League football next season.

Tottenham remain fourth having defeated Fulham 2-0 and will have to depend on other results to see if they are playing in Europe's premier competition next term.

Newcastle's season ended in a 3-1 loss at Everton meaning the Toon will have to be content with Europa League football.

Chelsea rested some of their key players ahead of the Champions League final but still came out 2-1 winners over already relegated Blackburn Rovers.

Swansea's impressive first season in the Premiership ended on a high as a late strike was enough to defeat a disappointing Liverpool 1-0.

Already doomed Wolves went to Wigan and despite taking an early lead went down 3-2 to the Latics.

Bolton needed to win to stand any chance of avoiding the drop, but despite leading at Stoke had to settle for a 2-2 draw and Championship football next season.

Aston Villa's miserable season ended in a 2-0 defeat at Norwich who ensured that all three promoted club's from last season will have a second term in the top flight.
