PREMIER LEAGUE: Wolves win Midlands derby at Villa

With only their second away win of the campaign Wolves claimed their first victory over Aston Villa with a 1-0 win at Villa Park. These three points boost Wolves survival hopes in the top flight but drag Villa back into the relegation mix.

The visitors deserved their success having had two first-half efforts disallowed before they finally took the lead when Matt Jarvis drove home just before the break.

Ashley Young had the host's best chance when he rattled the cross bar late on but overall Wolves were worthy winners and move to within a point of their local rivals.
