PREMIER LEAGUE: Torres double helps Dalglish claim his first three points as Liverpool boss

Kenny Dalglish picked up his first win as interim Liverpool boss with a comfortable 3-0 win at Molineux against Wolves. After four games since returning to the managerial hot-seat with Liverpool Dalglish not only picked up three points but doubled their number of away wins this campaign.

In a hard fought game the Reds always looked in control and the chances of Wolves repeating their 1-0 success at Anfield three weeks ago never looked on the cards.

Fernando Torres started scoring again with a strike in each half, and sandwiched in-between was a stunning Raul Meireles volley.

Torres scored first with a simple tap-in after being set up by the impressive Meireles as Wolves offside trap went hopelessly awry.

Nenad Milijas had the host's best effort before the 25 yard volley from Meireles doubled the visitor's advantage.

Wolves battled on gamely but it was Liverpool who had the last word with the Spaniard making it three, again from close range.

Wolves remain in the bottom three whilst Liverpool edge towards mid-table safety.

Interestingly, the last time the Reds won at Molineux was in March 1978 when a certain Kenny Dalglish hit a brace.
