Premier League target Lavezzi to leave PSG for Italy return

Liverpool and Tottenham's hopes of landing Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi have taken a hit, with the player's agent revealing his client 'wants to play in Italy'.

Lavezzi's agent Alejandro Mazzoni told RadioKiss Kiss Napolihis client is likely to leaveParis once his contract expires at the end of the season and a return to his homeland is his preferred option.

"In football everything is possible, and PSG have a very strong team," Mazzoni said.

"Lavezzi's contract is set to expire, and if he doesn't renew, he'll be free to talk to other clubs in February.

"He misses Italian football a lot and he wants to go back to Italy. [Napoli] president [Aurelio] De Laurentiis was clear that he didn't want his return to Napoli. The Azzurri have a strong team.

"Right now we can't speculate on a turn of mind, but we'll see."
