German champions Borussia Dortmund have announced that Jakub 'Kuba' Blaszczykowski has signed a new deal with the club.
The Poland national team captain was set to come out of contract at the end of next season but has decided to extend his stay until the summer of 2016, warding off interest from some Premier League clubs including Manchester United.
"I am very, very happy about the new agreement," he told the club's official website.
"There are not many clubs out there who have such a large fanbase and there are also not many clubs who have been able to do what we have achieved in the last two league seasons.
"It is great to remain a player of this big club Borussia Dortmund."
