QPR striker Charlie Austin is relishing his decision to remain with the Championship club following his prolific start to the season.
Austin was the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs during the transfer window, including Crystal Palace and Newcastle United.
However, the 26-year-old is currently loving life at Loftus Road, having scored seven goals in eight appearances this campaign.
"I'm delighted with the start and to help the team to 12 points," said Austin, who also attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
"It's a good start when you think two points per game usually gets you promoted from the Championship.
"I didn't know what was going on in pre-season so I am glad I got all that out the way. It took me a while to get going.
"Now the transfer window is shut and we know the squad we have, I think it will be a disappointment if we don't finish in the top six.
"We could have had four or five more points but we are up there in the mix."
