PREMIER LEAGUE: Swansea secure first away win with positive result over disappointing Villa

Aston Villa have come crashing back down to earth after their weekend win over Chelsea by losing 2-0 at home to Swansea City.

Nathan Dyer put the Swans ahead inside five minutes with a nice individual effort after pouncing on Stephen Warnock's loose ball before sliding his shot past his marker Richard Dunne and inside the far post to beat a hapless Brad Guzan.

Danny Graham should have had the visitors two ahead when Andrea Orlandi cut back for him in the 35th minute but his left footed attempt was wide before the Swans top scorer hit the post from Wayne Routledge's pass before the winger followed up the loose ball to fire home from an acute angle to make it 2-0 in the 47th minute.

Villa's best chance came in injury time when Gabriel Agbonlahor played it to an unmarked Charles N'Zogbia who lashed into the upright of Michel Vorm's goal as Swansea came away with their first away win in the Premier League which allowed them to move to 11th whilst Villa fell to 12th with their fifth home loss in their last six outings at Villa Park.
