PREMIER LEAGUE: Rondon rescues point for West Brom against Swansea

Salomon Rondon scored a last-gasp equaliser for West Bromwich Albion to deny Swansea City form taking all three points away from The Hawthorns on Tuesday night.

Gylfi Sigurdsson had given Francesco Guidolin's Swans the lead midway through the second half but Rondon stepped up to rescue a point for Tony Pulis' Baggies with an injury-time equaliser.

Lukasz Fabianski was called into action early on for Swansea, tipping over an effort from Darren Fletcher, before the Albion captain then squandered another chance with 20 minutes gone, heading over following good work from Rondon and James McClean.

Sigurdsson almost gave Swansea the lead in the first half with a long-range shot which was saved by Baggies goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The Icelandic midfielder then gave Guidolin's team the advantage in the 64th minute with a low drive past Foster.

Second-half sub Victor Anichebe nearly equalised for West Brom but was denied by a good save from Fabianski before the home side found that elusive leveller in the last minute through Rondon who fired home from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

The draw saw Albion edge above Chelsea into 13th as Swansea dropped to 16th despite being on an undefeated run of three matches.
