PCCW has secured the live broadcast rights in Hong Kong to the Barclays Premier League for three seasons from 2013/14, reports SportsPro. The telecoms company's Now TV pay-TV platform will be entitled to show all 380 games each season from the English top flight.
Coverage will also be carried across PCCW's online and mobile platforms.
PCCW replaces i-Cable, which has held the Premier League rights in Hong Kong for the last nine seasons.
Financial terms of the deal were not officially released but Hong Kong newspaper The Standard reports it to be worth US$200 million, which is said to be lower than the rights fee paid by i-Cable.
Last week, however, it was revealed that the Premier League had secured an overall increase in its overall earnings over the next broadcast rights cycle, breaking the £5 billion barrier for the first time.
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore, who paid tribute to i-Cable's contribution, said: "We know PCCW well as they have held Premier League rights in the past, including for seasons 2007/08 - 2009/10. We are extremely pleased they have chosen to invest in the Premier League and look forward to working with them again."
Janice Lee, the managing director of TV and new media for PCCW, added: "We welcome the return of the Barclays Premier League to now TV. BPL is one of the most prestigious football leagues in the world and to successfully regain the rights is a demonstration of our commitment to bringing top-class sports content to our customers."
