Premier League refuse to scrap handshakes between Chelsea, Man Utd players

Chelsea and Manchester United players will shake hands on Sunday.

The Daily Star says the Premier League last night insisted they won't spare John Terry the potential humiliation of a handshake snub against Manchester United.

Terry is involved in a race case with the brother of United defender Rio Ferdinand.

The Premier League maintain they won't follow the FA's lead ahead of United's clash with Chelsea on Sunday, when Terry is set to come face to face with Anton Ferdinand's brother Rio.

And if Rio blanks Terry in a show of support for his brother it will be another embarrassing snub for Terry, almost two years on from a similar incident with former team-mate Wayne Bridge.
