QPR's dream of bouncing back from their last start loss to Fulham was today thwarted by a determined Blackburn Rovers outfit who fell to the bottom of the Premier League table courtesy of a 1-1 draw.
The home side took the lead 16 minutes in when Heidar Helguson, making his first league start of the season, chipped what seemed to be an attempted cross into the area which found its way past Blackburn keeper Paul Robinson and into the back of the net.
The lead was short-lived as the visitors hit back about eight minutes later when young midfielder Jason Lowe put a cross into the box and central defender Christopher Samba rose above the rest to nod home and give Steve Kean's men some much-needed confidence.
Both sides squandered goalscoring opportunities later in the match as both Neil Warnock's and Kean's charges played out a draw which puts the West Londoners tenth on the table whilst resigning Rovers to the bottom with just five points in eight outings.
