PREMIER LEAGUE: Norwich claim first win over ten-man Bolton

Norwich took full advantage of the reduced numbers of Bolton by recording their first win of the campaign in a 2-1 success at the Reebok Stadium. Bolton had won their last five home games against the Canaries but the sending off of Ivan Klasnic for a headbutt directed at Marc Tierney was to prove decisive.

Both the visitor's goals came in the closing stages of the first-half, first from Anthony Pilkington then a superb header from Bradley Johnson.

A Petrov penalty on 64 minutes gave the Wanderers hope but Norwich held firm for the three points.

One statistic the Canaries boss will be looking at closely is how his team have now conceded a penalty in each of their opening five Premier League games.

Referee: Howard Webb

Venue: Reebok Stadium Attendance: 21,223

Bolton scorers: Petrov pen 64 Norwich scorers: Pilkington 37, Johnson 42

TRIBAL ASKS: A 5-0 defeat at home to Man Utd last time out indicates Owen Coyle needs to work at lifting the gloom from Bolton after a promising opening game at QPR.

Yellow cards: Jaaskelainen (BOL), Reo-Coker (BOL), Robinson (BOL) Red Cards: Klasnic (BOL)
