Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has confirmed that Thursday's Premier League meeting confirmed that Andrei Arshavin's Arsenal transfer was declared legitimate.
Duffen has given the clearest indication yet that all the paperwork involved in the Arshavin transfer was indeed negotiated in accordance with the Premier League and the FA's regulations, and told Sky Sports:
"There was a statement made to say everything in connection with that transaction was in according to the regulations.
"Everything said in the press must have been wild speculation, the Premier League were happy, and there was no protestation," he said.
