Manchester United and Chelsea have played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at Old Trafford this afternoon.
The Red Devils fought back for a share of the points courtesy of an injury-time leveler from Robin van Persie which cancelled out Didier Drogba's earlier opener.
Jose Mourinho's Blues, who are now four points clear of Southampton at the top of the table, hit the front in the 53rd minute when veteran striker Drogba netted his first Premier League goal since returning to the west London club.
Cesc Fabregas sent in an inswinging corner which Drogba rose to meet at the front post with a powerful header much like his late goal in the 2012 Champions League final.
It was Drogba's second goal this week after netting in the Champions League win over NK Maribor on Wednesday night.
Louis van Gaal's Red Devils had plenty of possession after the Drogba goal but could not find a way through until van Persie pounced in the 94th minute.
Branislav Ivanovic's second yellow card a minute prior enabled United to go into the dying moments with an extra player and it proved decisive in the end.
Thibaut Courtois produce a brilliant save to deny Marouane Fellaini's header from Angel Di Mari's free-kick but van Persie emphatically fired home the rebound to save the day for United.
The draw has them sitting eighth on the table on 12 points, three outside the top four, and ten in arrears of runaway leaders Chelsea.
