PREMIER LEAGUE: Man City win five goal thriller at Bolton

Manchester City are now unbeaten in their last six games against Bolton following a 3-2 success at the Reebok Stadium. Both teams enjoyed 4-0 victories on the opening day of the season last week, but City always looked the likelier victors in this contest as they bossed the game throughout.

City looked like going into the break with a two goal lead but a momentary loss of concentration handed Bolton a lifeline, but a goal immediately after the restart restored the visitor's two goal advantage.

David Silva started the scoring spree taking advantage of a mistake by Wanderers keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen, then the home side failed to close down Gareth Barry from a corner and the England midfielder arrowed a 30 yarder into the top corner.

But Bolton hit back within a minute when Ivan Klasnic hit a first time shot through Joe Hart's legs.

Barely a minute of the second had elapsed when Edin Dzeko made it three and just as it seemed City were beginning to coast Kevin Davies headed home a free kick to give Bolton hope.

The host's briefly had their opponents on the rack but failed to capitalise allowing City to regroup and almost wrap up the three points with a couple of good chances.

Manchester City survived a frenetic four minutes of added time to head the Premiership on goal difference from Wolves, but boss Roberto Mancini will be concerned that his team makes life difficult by conceding sloppy goals.
