PREMIER LEAGUE: Magic minute gives Fulham victory over Bolton

Rock-bottom Bolton Wanderers were the victims of their own sloppiness in a ‘mad minute’ as they lost 2-0 to Fulham at Craven Cottage today.

The Trotters conceded twice in around 60 seconds just after the half-hour mark as the Cottagers bounced back from their midweek Europa League disappointment to move up to 11th on the Premier League table whilst Owen Coyle and his men remain rooted to the foot following their seventh loss in their past eight outings.

Fulham took a deserved lead in the 33rd minute when Clint Dempsey scored with a brilliant header which came from Bryan Ruiz’s inswinging cross. The USA international angled his header after nipping in front of Dedryck Boyata to make it five league goals for the campaign.

Around a minute later, Ruiz added a second in fine style after receiving the ball in midfield and making a strong run into the area before audaciously chipping over Jussi Jaasklainen for his second Cottagers goal which came in similar style to his first.

Fulham had a plethora of chances earlier in the match before the visitors got right back into proceedings and could have got one back on a number of occasions but in the end it was the two goals in quick succession which was the undoing of the hapless Trotters.

TRIBAL ASKS: Is it looking like Bolton will be competing in the Championship next term? What can they do to get out of this rut?
