PREMIER LEAGUE: Leicester return to winning ways at expense of Tottenham

Leicester City have ended a three-match winless streak by edging Tottenham 1-0 at White Hart Lane.

Claudio Ranieri's Foxes rejoined Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table thanks to a late header from defender Robert Huth in what was a monumental victory in North London.

Spurs had the majority of the chances as they kept Kasper Schmeichel extremely busy, namely with Toby Alderweireld's downward header in the 11th minute, before the Foxes had a great chance only for Danny Drinkwater's volley to produce a fine save from home gloveman Hugo Lloris.

Just after the hour-mark, Erik Lamela slipped in Harry Kane but the England striker saw his effort deflected onto the bar by an outspread Schmeichel before Dele Alli's follow-up was dealt with by the Leicester defence.

After all the earlier drama, German centre-back Huth produced a thunderous header from Christian Fuch's corner in the 83rd minute to give Leicester all three points with just his second goal for the club.

The win sees Ranieri's men draw level on points with the Gunners, who they trail only on goal difference, as Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs remain fourth but drop seven points off the pace.
