PREMIER LEAGUE: Late strike earns Stoke the spoils in Midlands derby

Stoke shrugged off their Europa League exertions in midweek to record a 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion and remain unbeaten this season. For West Brom this was their third successive defeat as they allowed Ryan Shotton to snatch a dramatic winner in the last minute.

Shane Long had the Baggies best chance of the game but Asmir Begovic in the Stoke goal was equal to the effort and kept his team in the game with some fine stops.

Albion have now gone ten games since they last tasted success over Stoke and now find themselves in the bottom three with nil points.

Referee: Mike Dean

Venue: The Hawthorns Attendance: 22,909
