James Collins in his 100th Premier League appearance scored the Aston Villa leveller at rivals Birmingham to earn a point and move the Villans out of the relegation zone. Visitor's Aston Villa will feel they should have claimed all three points against their fellow City strugglers. It is almost six years since Birmingham beat Villa in the league and when Johnson scored just after the break it looked like that record would be broken.
But if a defender could score for the home side than a defender could level for the visitor's. Collins finished crisply after Gabriel Agbonlahor's flick.
Villa will point to the four times they hit the woodwork whilst the Blues also created clear cut chances they failed to take.
A point a-piece is probably a fair result but still leaves both team's glancing nervously over their shoulder at the relegation places.
