Everton have hit top form ahead of this weekend's FA Cup semi-final by beating Sunderland 4-0 at Goodison Park today.
The Toffees completely dominated up forward with over 20 shots on goal to Sunderland's three with all four goals coming in the second half as David Moyes rested the likes of Nikica Jelavic, Tim Cahill and Leighton Baines.
Things opened up for Everton seven minutes in to the second term when Magaye Gueye scored his first Premier League goal for the club when he rifled home on his left foot after Black Cats keeper Simon Mignolet kept out Leon Osman's well-struck effort.
Just over 20 minutes later, the Toffees were two ahead when Steven Pienaar curled in an exquisite finish from the left side of the area after receiving Gueye's pass and within two minutes, the home team were three ahead after Osman almost mimicked Pienaar's finish but he was able to control beautifully with his chest before turning and beating Mignolet.
With less than ten minutes left, Everton had a fourth when Victor Anichebe's initial attempt from Pienaar's cut back bobbled up for the powerful striker to spin out of trouble and fire home with help from a deflection off Jack Colback.
