Everton dented Manchester City’s Champions League hopes with a second half comeback which saw them emerge with a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park.

City had dominated the first half and deservedly went in at the break one goal ahead through Yaya Toure effort after good work from David Silva.

But Everton were a changed team after half-time and made it seven wins in the last eight meetings with City with two headed goals in seven minutes to stun their Manchester rivals.

City keeper Joe Hart fumbled Sylvain Distin’s header over the line then a cross from Phil Neville saw Leon Osman rise highest to claim a deserved winner.
