Premier League club's circle for Swedish talent

According to Gothenburg-based club GAIS, Arsenal and Chelsea were reportedly joined by delegates from Italian heavyweights Juventus, as well as Borussia Dortmund, PSV and Ajax in watching them in action against Stockholm side Djurgarden last month. GAIS chairman Christer Wallin was asked which player's were being watched, and told Fotbollskanalen.se: "I don't know. We only get a message that they are planning to come and want seats, then there are agents and others involved.

"There are always a few clubs coming to watch us but we have never seen anything like this before.

"I can't really say what the reason for it is. But I guess they want to watch the football and our players. And I guess that is positive."

Wallin insists there have been no direct bids for his players, but speculation has surfaced that Brazilian forward Wanderson could be the subject of the sudden interest.

However, Wallin is adamant there has been no approach for the 25 year old, adding: "When it comes to him, I don't want to speculate.

"It has been hectic with Wanderson for some years. Now he is playing for us (on loan until August).

"He feels comfortable and safe here. What will happen later, we'll see."
