Premier League chief Richard Scudamore says they have no control over ticket prices charged by clubs.
Scudamore insists there is nothing he can do.
He said: "We are the only organisation in football that doesn't set ticket prices.
"The Football League set them for their competitions and play-offs and the FA set them for the Cup.
"But there is nothing in our rule book about setting ticket prices."
Arsenal have the most expensive season ticket at £1,995 while their most expensive matchday seat costs a whopping £126.
Champs Manchester United's most expensive matchday seat is £53.
