Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore hopes that other players can learn from Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore's failed drug test.
The 25-year old was found positive for cocaine use in a random drug test after the 2-0 victory away to Crystal Palace on April 25 and faces a hefty suspension.
Scudamore said: "The anti-doping testing is as good as it can be and hence it's been caught. It should send out a very strong message saying you absolutely will get caught if you indulge in these practices.
"We're doing as much as we can through the academies and the education of young players, but ultimately it does come down to individual responsibility."
