After going behind early on, Chelsea were never tested as they thumped Norwich City 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.
Canaries striker Grant Holt smashed the ball in from close-range to give the visitors a surprise lead on 11 minutes. But all that did was wake Chelsea up.
Fernando Torres equalised just two minutes later after good work from Frank Lampard.
It was then Lampard, on 22 minutes, who drove home a half-volley to give Chelsea a deserved lead. Eden Hazard made it 3-1 just on the half-hour as he coolly finished beyond Norwich keeper John Ruddy after incisive play from Juan Mata.
After the break, Chelsea dominated possession with Norwich barely threatening the hosts' goal.
Branislav Ivanovic completed the rout on 76 minutes after a flick from Mata set him up for a wonder volley.
TRIBAL ASKS: The stuff of champions? Chelsea looked deserved table leaders, though Norwich already appears doomed.
