Andre Villas-Boas eased the pressure on his position as Chelsea boss with a routine 3-0 win over a poor Wolves outfit at Stamford Bridge. The Blues went into this game on the back of losing back-to-back home games for the first since time since 2002 but in Wolves found very accommodating opponents who allowed their hosts a three goal lead by half-time.
Wolves have now lost five of their last seven games and this match was over as a contest as Chelsea scored three goals before the break.
John Terry gave the home side the best possible start with an early goal, heading home Juan Marta's corner.
Marta was provider for number two as he set up Daniel Sturridge then the Spaniard made it three with a strike on the stroke of half-time.
No more goals in the second half but Chelsea had already done the damage in the first 45 minutes, a result which keeps them in fifth place but leaves Wolves just above the relegation places.
