Premier League break spending records for winter market

Premier League clubs were again the biggest spenders in this season's winter transfer window.

The Sunday Express says they splashed out around £130million last month, breaking the record for a whole season.

Teams in England's top division spent a total of £760m over the summer and January windows, according to figures revealed by football finance experts Deloitte.

This shattered the previous record of £670m from the 2008-09 season.
