Tottenham made it four wins on the bounce at Carrow Road as they deservedly emerged 2-0 winners over Norwich and moved to within seven points of the leaders with a game in hand. An impressive Tottenham performance deservedly earned themselves the three points as they outclassed Norwich for a comfortable win.
The first-half may have ended scoreless but Spurs always looked the likely winners and so it turned out with Gareth Bale scoring a brace after the break.
Bale and William Gallas had good shouts for penalties turned down but it was only a matter of time before the visitor's broke the deadlock.
Emmanuel Adebayor laid on the first goal for Bale to rifle home from ten yards, but the Welshman needed no help for his second as his pace took him past two Canaries defenders before firing home a second.
Norwich remain in mid table which will be seen as a good start to the New Year in their return to the Premier League but have yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
But Spurs were almost flawless in their performance and on this form are credible challengers to Manchester City and Manchester United at the top of the league, and have now only lost once in their last 15 league games.
