PREMIER LEAGUE: Arsenal come a cropper at Swansea

Swansea came from a goal behind to register a famous 3-2 victory over their illustrious visitor's Arsenal in an entertaining encounter in South Wales. Swansea conceded two goals at home for the first time this season but that statistic won't worry them at all after they outfought and out-passed an Arsenal team who only fitfully showed their true form.

Yet it was the Gunners who started the brighter and deservedly took an early lead with a classy finish from Robin van Persie after a perfect through ball from Andrey Arshavin.

The Dutchman has now scored 20 goals in his last 20 Premier League appearances away from home.

But instead of building on this ideal opening it was Swansea who battled their way back into the game by harrying and closing down the visitor's forcing them into making mistakes.

A period of pressure was rewarded when Aaron Ramsey brought down Nathan Dyer and Scott Sinclair confidently levelled from the penalty spot.

The Swans ended the half the stronger and this continued after the break as their pressing game was stopping the Gunners playing their expansive football.

Dyer after earning the penalty then got on the scoresheet himself, just reward for his fine performance. Ramsey was caught in possession by Joe Allan who immediately released Dyer who finished clinically.

The host's then allowed Arsenal back into the game when Theo Walcott was allowed a free run on goal from Johan Djourou's pass to restore parity.

But within a minute the Welshman were back in front as the Gunners switched off at the back and Danny Graham clipped home from substitute Gylfi Sigurdsson's through ball.

Finally Arsenal began to exert some pressure with Thierry Henry introduced to the fray but Swansea held firm to inflict a third away league defeat in four games on Arsenal.
